What are non marking tyres?

Non marking tyres, more commonly known as grey tyres, are ideal for indoor use as they have been designed to eliminate the scuffing that black tyres cause. Grey tyres (or white tyres) do not contain carbon black which is used to stabilise the rubber during the manufacturing process. Non marking rubber contains a viscous substance called buytl which subsitutes the carbon black, however it is more expensive and time consuming to produce tyres this way which is reflected in the price. However, these grey tyres last as long as their counterparts in black rubber.

What are the benefits of a solid tyre over an air filled tyre?

Simply put, there's nothing more frustrating than when you get a flat tyre.
